Reward Offered For Brink's Robbery Recovery
A $52,000 reward was offered for information leading to full recovery of $500,000 taken in a Brink's truck robbery on February 11 1976 in San Mateo. The Commercial Union Insurance Co said it would pay the reward to those who help recover the currency and noted partial recovery would yield a partial reward. Police in San Mateo reported the case and noted a young Brink's guard disappeared into a Fremont restaurant with a champagne delivery the previous week.
