Drawing and painting class slated at Newark Adult School
Newark Adult School will sponsor a Winter quarter drawing and painting course at the community center 3765 Ash St Marting starting at 9am Mondays. Mrs Barbara Blaban will provide individualized instruction for beginners and advanced students for a fee of 3 50 with students supplying their own paints and supplies. Registration occurs at the first class meeting. Mrs Blaban also teaches a Newark High School painting class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Communication class planned at Blacow School Fremont

Fremont Banker Richard Seeba Transfers to San Jose Office
Richard Seeba of 4551 Lancelot Court transfers from Security Pacific National Bank Northern California headquarters to the San Jose office. Seeba, an assistant vice president, will handle commercial lending business development and marketing in his new post. He joined the bank in 1969 as an assistant, later becoming vice president in the San Francisco based business development department.

Hearing slated in area shooting in Hayward
A preliminary hearing was rescheduled to January 27 in the Hayward case arising from an October 1 shooting. Gregorio Lopez, 30, was shot in the shoulder as he lay in bed. Charged with attempted murder are Wayne D. Patterson, 35. Michael Ivester, 20. and Mance Herring, 19, who deny the shooting and say Lopez was armed and shot himself. They contend they went to Lopez’s home after hearing of an alleged attack on a female friend. Lopez, wheelchair bound, could not have been the attacker. Bench warrants were issued after they failed to appear for a prior hearing. they are free on bail. Police say only Herring had a gun on him at the time.
