VFW Auxiliary Visits Veterans at Lev ermore Hostal
Members of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 238b visited the Veterans Hostal in Lev ermore bringing cheer to about 100 veterans of World War I and World War II. Homemade peppermint cookies and a group sing along were shared. A 98 year old Spanish American War veteran, William Emerick, sang and danced despite blindness and deafness. Auxiliary members included Mrs. Adams and nine others. Irvington High School teens also attended.
