Calley testifies before Peers board on My Lai massacre
Lt William L. Calley Jr. testified for nearly three hours before the Pentagon inquiry into the My Lai massacre. Calley, a platoon leader involved in the 1968 village sweep, faced charges of premeditated murder of at least 109 villagers. His civilian lawyer said Calley was ordered not to answer questions about the alleged massacre and returned to Fort Benning after the session.
