Peggy Ann Bowers daughter of W Chad Johnson of Fremont married Paul Edwin Berneking in a 7:30 pm ceremony at Centerville Presbyterian Church Fremont Rev Bill Austin officiated. Bride wore silk organza gown with Alencon lace and pearls, long mantilla veil, rose and lily of the valley bouquet. Exchange included her stepfather escort and a reception followed at the church hall. Bridesmaids wore lime green and white, junior attendants pink, attendees included relatives from Washington and California. The groom’s family from Montana and California attended. both families noted. The bride is a 1967 Irvington High School alumna now with General Motors in Fremont. The groom, a Superior High School graduate, is a carpenter with Stanison Construction and a US Navy veteran.

The bride, a Wentworth Military Academy graduate, plans to reside in California with her new husband, Dave Watkins of Kansas City Missouri.
