Chaotic Bay Area column mixes odd notes and quirks
A jammed column from Castro Valley and Hayward blends a night crossing sighting of a late model light blue station wagon with a curio of local humor. It weaves in a railroad high-railer anecdote, posture mischief, school weather fears, odd license plates, police auction quips, court lounge humor, and a Billy Graham tease, ending with a playful shout Celery Celery.

The hearing will consider bills to transfer 546 acres from the Interior Department and define park boundaries from Point Reyes to the Golden Gate, with some Marin County private lands touched.
