Dust Boxes Used to Combat Bubonic Plague Spread

Bubonic plague may hit record year in US
PORT COLLINS Colo UPI health officials say this year could be a record for bubonic plague in the United States with ten cases and two deaths. The outbreak centers on the West with New Mexico reporting five cases and an Navajo girl’s death. Arizona Utah and California also report cases. Campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park closed after two plague infected squirrels found.

Sadat rules out Egypt first to use nuclear weapons
President Anwar Sadat said Egypt will not be first to introduce nuclear arms in the Middle East though Israel is believed to be producing an atom bomb. He warned Israel would be held responsible if it brings nuclear weapons into the region and offered peace with Israel including a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza. He praised Kissinger and called the current Middle East situation an armed truce. He noted no differences exist with the Palestine Liberation Organization on strategy, only on implementation.
