Legal fight over restaurant lease and red room enclosure
Von Querner and family contest Bodily led New International Kitchen Corp forfeiture actions on a 1964 lease covering the restaurant, cocktail and banquet rooms. A $37,500 rental claim and $7,500 in costs are awarded. disputes center on whether the red room and rec room fall under the lease. Attorneys call the action tactical to resolve all issues expediently as a court hearing was denied. Bodily argues the red room was not in the original lease and may still be excluded from coverage. The filing coincided with establishing the Von Querner corporate HQ at a Rotary Club event held at the site. A court ruling and potential removal orders loom as legal actions proceed.
