Tax Credit Housing Catalyst Boosts Bay Area Market
HAYWARD The Tax Credit of up to $2,000 for buying a new home is hailed as a catalyst to lift the Bay Area housing market. Frank Conti, chairman of Associated Building Industry of New Tech California, says the program will clear inventory by July 1, 1975. About 15,000 Bay Area homes qualify. the credit is 5 percent of purchase price but not more than $3,000.
