Final Rites Held Friday For Mrs Mabel Lees
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Anita Christian church for Mrs. Mabel Jotun Lees a lifelong Anita resident who died Tuesday noon last week at the Potter nursing hall where she had resided since July 23 1955 Born November 18 1895 in Atta she married Frank Lees in 1923 who died in 1949 Surviving are one son Phil Hempsey four stepchildren and several siblings including Edith Knowlton Maude Brokaw Cora Menirs Bertha Diznan Cora Ball Harry Fickel and Charles Fickel One son Frank Jr died at age 13 She attended the Christian church and services were conducted by Rev J G Barnes Pallbearers were Tom Burns George Shaffer Raymond Lantz William Crawford Raymond Reed and Art Petersen Vocal music was provided by Sidney Larsen with accompanists Mrs Clovee Tupper and Selywenke.
