Frank Kinne one of three prisoners to escape from the U S military prison on Alestraz island after deserting to the Filipino army. He had a fifteen year sentence for desertion and treason and was captured with other American prisoners during the insurgent clash.
Gen William Booth, commander in chief, will come to New York next September to assume control of the Salvation Army in the United States for about six months. Commander Booth-Tucker, arriving from England, announced the plan after inviting Booth to aid in organizing farm colonies and Army efforts across states.
