Car Hits Truck Near Anita Sales Barn
A 1962 Chevrolet was traveling west on Iowa 90 when it sideswiped a truck driven by Roger L. French of Omaha and went off the highway into a ditch. Both drivers escaped injury. Damage totaled to the Omaha car and the truck.

In Anita City 169 votes were cast with 109 ballots counted on Election Day. Homer Rich won the mayoralty with 104 votes. Council results include Gail Burke 104, E. J. Osen 105, C. A.
