Interior Secretary Hitchcock completes regulations for impounding and disposal of loose livestock in Yellowstone National Park. Cattle found at large without authority will be impounded with owners notified. If not reclaimed in 30 days they will be sold at public auction and proceeds held for six months before remittance to the park fund.
Vancouver reporters collect evidence for a $20,000 each damages suit against the United States over sailors alleged to have been coerced aboard the South Portland at Skagway by troops under Judge Sehlbreto. H L Sibley to testify to order and prodding with bayonets amid navigation-law defiance. Nearly Hanged Negro Escapes Gallows as Gov McSweeney commutes Maj Greene for murder of O J Pauling near Fort Motte. Wine confessed and Greene exonerated.
The late Senator Sherman’s will, filed for probate in Mansfield Ohio, outlines a $3 million estate consisting of bonds securities and real estate in Ohio and Washington. A large number of guests are mentioned as relatives in the will.
