Purina Farm reports three pig lots at weaning, fed to 545 days age with corn and supplements. Despite identical ingredient tags, hogs on Purina reached 163 days and 224 lbs, outperforming Ration Y by 62 lbs and Ration X by about 20 lbs, proving tag details don’t tell the full story. The 1904 Anita High School graduation lists four graduates Miss Mittie Crawford Miss Emmat McIntire Miss Frances Lattig and Miss Dora Combs. Class day included a solo by Little Miss Helen Dinsmore and a sermon by Rev. W A Schwimley. Recent marriages include Miss Lizzie Weimer and Alonzo Pierson. Concrete sidewalks were planned along the Christian Church and parsonage.
Forty years ago the senior class presented Cupid at Vassar in the Anita Opera House. Miss Humility Crawford and Ethel Booth visited Des Moines. Real Cream in Coffee at Pudd's Cafe. WWI loomed closer daily. Anita School 3rd and 4th grades picnicked in the park led by Emma McIntyre and Grace Blood. Walter F Budd edited the Anita Tribune.

Mrs. Mary Smither and her daughter Mrs. Lake Pear visited Belleville in Kansas with Claude Blakesley and family. Miss Ermine Brown spent a Saturday in Des Moines. The White Market offered beans at three pounds for a quarter.
Twenty years ago on May 21 1934 at A R Kohls Praréase Store creamery butter sold for 24 cents per pound and Mid West brand coffee for 1 1. The Hal Stone Players planned a tent show under American Legion auspices while Slim Summerville and ZaSu Pitts were slated for a Rialto Theatre comedy.
