Announcement noted the April marriage of Lester Heckman and Bernice Kinney in Adel Town. Bernard Cecil was nearing graduation from Iowa State College Ames. Gail Adair celebrated her first birthday. Anita Garden Club plants roses at city dump

Anita Five years ago the Garden Club planted about 800 multiflora roses at the city dump. Bernard Raper resigned as club president and was replaced by vice-president Merle Robison. Tom Miller advertised for a girl to run the popcorn machine at the Anita Theatre, later filled by Joan Biggs who burned her hand and stirred concern at the Anita Tribune. Coffee priced at 73c at Kohl and Lantz. Wallace D. Inman served as publisher of the Anita Tribune.
