H W Chehock of Iowa City visited Anita with friends last week. He served as royal schools superintendent from 1904 to 1909 and later led Clear Lake Perry and Marion districts. Now retired from school work he works as a field representative for the American National Red Cross in southern Iowa. He enjoyed reuniting with his former students.

Highway 32 East of Stuart Opens to Traffic
United States Highway 32 east of Stuart was opened Wednesday morning after Carlson Construction completed grading to the west edge of Dexter. The east end remains rough but will be smoothed by routine traffic. Carlson moved to Greenfield to begin grading on primary 25. Drivers can now connect with the Dexter gravel without the detour east of Stuart, saving over a mile and removing two railroad crossings.
