County wide secondary road plan outlined by Bergman act
The Bergman law will bring 1901 miles of Cass county roads under a unified secondary system. May beetles may appear this year reports warn farmers
If the three year life cycle holds, May beetles or June bugs may infest parts of the middle west and east this season. Many beetles now means many white grubs next year that can ruin corn and other crops, so prevention is safest. Crop rotation, especially oats or barley with corn, has shown good results per the U S Department of Agriculture. Cleanly cultivated ground or pure clover stands may still harbor a few grubs as beetles favor small grains or weeds for laying eggs.

New Currency Size Revealed by Washington Samples
Samples in circulation show the new paper money measures six and one half inches by two and three fourths inches.
