Prairie City on March 26 reports Mrs. Edward Kane wife of a leading local farmer five miles south of town died today from burns suffered Friday. While doing family washing her apron caught fire from the stove. Ed Ogburn rushed to help and rolled her in the snow but the burns proved fatal after severe suffering.
