Dinner honors Grimes couple at Borth home

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Borth hosted about 16 relatives for a dinner last Sunday. The event honored Mr. and Mrs. Les Chaney of Grimes with guests including Mr. and Mrs. Howard Borth and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daughenbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aggen and son George, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ehrman, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dressler and children.

EZ Chapter of P. E. O. Meets at Osen Home

Mrs. Eric Osen and Mrs. Nellie Holmes hosted the EZ Chapter of the P. E. 0. Tuesday afternoon at the Osen residence. After a brief business session and program, the hostesses served light refreshments.

Friendly Circle Club hosts shower and contests

The Friendly Circle Club met at Mrs. Paul Barber's home with eight members and nine guests. A miscellaneous shower honored Mrs. Albert Hahnerkopf, formerly Mary Jean Steinmetz, who received gifts and written recipes. Contests were won by Mrs. Elton Christensen and Mrs. Hahnerkopf. Lunch followed.

Past Matrons Club Holds Meeting At Sheley Home

Mrs. Fred Sheley and Mrs. Nettie Bund hosted 14 Past Matrons Club members Monday afternoon at the Sheley home. A brief business session preceded an interesting program. A gift was presented to Mrs. Budd who is moving to Amarillo Texas. Dainty refreshments were served.

Union Club Meets With Mrs Goodrich on Wednesday

The Union club held its regular meeting Wednesday afternoon with ten members present. Mrs Ethel Goodrich hosted and served refreshments. Plans for the next gathering were announced to be at Mrs Dela King’s home.

K. J. U. Club Holds Monthly Meeting in Church Room

The K. J. U. Club met Friday afternoon in the Christian Church with sixteen members present. Hostesses were Mrs. Fred Exline Mrs. Oscar Lindblom and Mrs. Hattie Weise. Contests by Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Anderson were won by Cleo Spry Mrs. Donald Chadwick and Mrs. Earl Knowlton. Lunch followed. For the April meeting hostesses will be Mesdames Andy Miller Earl Knowlton and Miss Velma Parker.
