Arthur Hansen 22 died at his parents home in Audubon township Iowa on February end Odd. He was born June 7 1891 in Atlantic Iowa. Survived by parents two brothers Will Fr and Dale and sister Mrs C Ro Hunter Tulsa Oklahoma. Funeral held at home in Audubon township conducted by Rev P L AS Rickely. Interment in one cemetery. Friends mourn with the family over the loss.
The notice lists marriage licenses for Lewis Linderman with Griswald and Mary Wilson with Cumberland, plus John L. Starting and Anna V. Johnson of Cumberland. It also mentions John J. Heck, George Morgan, Mona Wentz visiting Nell Hansen, and Roy Millhollin in Yuma. A note clarifies Lee Carson of Kansas City will move to Anita, distinct from a recent Atlantic case.
The undersigned Harry C Faulkner is named executor of the estate of Edward Warne ta of Cass County Iowa deceased and has qualified. Creditors should promptly pay and claimants present their claims to the executor or attorney Far Holton. Dated February 14 1914.
A Anita Iowa advertiser notes a local woman’s Christmas gift purchase of Harmony Hair Beautifier spurring a wide word of mouth campaign. The ad touts Harmony Hair Beautifier and Harmony Shampoo as oil free hair care products in ornamental bottles, sold at Rexall stores.
Taxes due and payable the same as before with first part in March and last half in September. March receipts must be paid that month or cancelled per state auditor. Those paying outside Atlantic at banks must send funds early enough for bank processing before March end. If not, the bank deadline will be moved forward. Currently receiving from $60,000 to $170,000 in the last four days from outside.
Through the efforts of Walter E. Haynes a former Anita attorney the city of Le Mars Town has started a Knights of Pythias Lodge with over fifty charter members. Relatives and visitors lingered in Atlantic and Avoca with local residents including Mrs. George Aldrich and Mrs. J. W. Hutton.
Paul T. Brown, a Berea merchant, stopped by the Tribune office on Monday morning to renew his subscription and boost the paper with a generous payment.
Mrs. LK. C. King and her son traveled to Atlantic on Saturday to care for her mother who has been ill for some time.
Mrs E Stumph of Los Angeles visited here with her brother Harry Cooper and family and went to Des Moines Saturday to visit friends. Mrs C R Hunter called here from Tulsa by the death of her brother Arthur Hansen and is spending the week in Guthrie Center. Miss Lucy Galiher was an Atlantic visitor Saturday. A H Mountain was an Atlantic business visitor Saturday. Miss Irma Gipple came from Adair Saturday to visit relatives over Sunday. Fred H Sears and wife, who had been visiting their daughter Mrs W H Faulkner in Des Moines for ten days, returned to Anita Saturday.
