Funeral services were held at Anita United Methodist Church for Jeri David Millard 36 of Santa Maria California. Interment followed at Anita Evergreen Cemetery. Millard born April 23 1939 in Des Moines died February 26 while visiting Arkansas family. He married Elaine Poulos June 26 1959 and left a wife a daughter Lori Linn and a son David Carl.

Retired Firemen Honored Monday
Severity five firemen attended a meeting for retired firemen at the Anita Firehall on Monday February 23. Firemen from Atlantic Exira Adair Griswold Massena and Cumberland attended. Fishermen Complete Winter Season at Lake Anita
The 1975 76 ice fishing season at Lake Anita yielded 2 800 pounds of fish from 8 300 caught. Bluegill dominated with 5 180 fish about 6 ounces each, yellow perch 2 500 fish about 180 pounds, crappie and bass making up 9 and 3 percent by weight. Fisheries staff Bruce Adair and Larry Geper reported strong ice fishing interest and stressed steady fishing pressure helps prevent stunting.
