Anita High School students earned 251 ratings the most in school history at the district meet with 28 participants. Several entered multiple divisions and two students, Nancy Coglon and Roger Butler, won two events each.

The Anita Community School board proposes a 4,240 sq ft shop addition west of the high school to expand welding, sheet metal, electronics, and woodworking with room for vehicles and a drawing room. Estimated cost is 58,000 with state aid possible for equipment. two mills available annually raise about 13,000 indicating a five year amortization option.

The school is directed by the Extension service and sponsored by the Anita Chamber of Commerce agricultural committee.
