Cafe owner wins damages in Stuart raid case
In Guthrie Center on March 3 a district court jury awarded C. E. Jennewein proprietor of the Genuine cafe $800 for damages and costs from a New Year’s eve raid by self styled officers D. E. Peterson and W. I. Chase of Guthrie Center. The raid occurred during a crowded New Year’s dance with no intoxicants found. Jennewein had sought $5,000.
