Jeniah Long Lyle Hayter and Olin Bissell from Anita High swept three firsts in the Four-School Declama Contest held at Emberland Friday. Hayter won first in the oration class with Maceo, Long captured first in dramatic reading, and Bissell topped the humor division with Stockery's Hat. Second places went to Cumberland and Anita entrants in other categories.

Force Meek Passes Away From Heart Trouble
Force Meek died after 22nd 1880 at age 46 years 9 months 22 days. He was son of his father and Incinda Gilburt Meek. Survived by wife and children. Funeral services set for Thursday at 1 80 o'clock at Christian church with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Local club met with Mrs Meek Motmeister and guests Wed afternoon.
