Atlantic Plans July Fourth Celebration In Town Program
Atlantic will host a July 4 celebration at Cass County Fair Grounds with a parade led by Company M Iowa National Guard and the Atlantic Band. Events include flag raising, a 48 gun salute, horse racing heats, pony race, military drill, auto and motorcycle races, and a mock assault on Messines Ridge.

Atlantic Iowa minutes report approval of a 60 ft steel truss span bridge project on the White Pole road with concrete abutments. The board set Deputy salaries at 70 dollars monthly and 800 dollars annually for the deputy clerk, approved bids from four bridge firms, and contracted Lana Construction for concrete abutments and floor.
