Miracle Man at Sac City Tractor Accident
Robert Irwin stopped to pick up a rock when a clutch failure caused a 15 foot disc to start. He clung to the machine and was dragged beneath it before escaping with only minor injuries after a brief bed rest. Friends nickname him the miracle man.

Siamese Triplets Born Joined by Hind Legs
A Panora couple reported a Persian cat gave birth to Siamese triplets that were abnormally joined at the hind legs. In a humane act the kittens were euthanized to prevent suffering.

High Priced Goat Auction Aids Memorial Hospital Fund
A Laurens auction saw a white billy goat fetch high bids as the main attraction with all proceeds donated to a memorial hospital fund. The animal later returned to its original owner after bidding concluded. In Summer, 5 year old Karen Hoth was struck by a stray shotgun pellet but recovered. Lily Arlene and Judy Anderagy are mentioned in a house play scene where a sweater helped save a life. Arlene’s clothing aided a seven year old girl in the incident and she recovered.
