In a series of Little League games Cards edged Royals 8-5 on July 2 with three late runs. Derek Mills Tom Mead and Greg Boeck led Cards with nine of ten hits. Mead homered and Boeck two doubles. Mets Royals and Twins played a wild 15-18 game June 25 with Mets walking 14 times. Norman Holste Alan Arp and Jerry Edwards led Cards with two hits each. Royals beat Twins on June 28 as Curt Symonds and Dale Raasch each had two hits. Raasch homered and pitched the win. July 5 Twins beat Mets 16-8. Holste triple Daugherty double. June 20 Mets and Royals tied 14-14 in five. Eblen Arp Edwards each had multiple hits. July 12 Mets beat Cards 7-4 but forfeited for using eight players. Eblen led hitters with three.

Cumberland WSCS Meeting Highlights at Methodist Church
Cumberland WSCS met July 12 in the Fellowship room of the Methodist Church with 12 members and two guests, Kay Mosher and Mrs. Edith Owens. Mrs. Floyd Jacobsen led the business session, Edith Gerlock gave the lesson on Higher Education and Today's Student assisted by Mrs. Gail Becker and Mrs. Robert Gerlock, followed by a cooperative lunch.

Mets Lose 20-6 as Royals Dominate at Plate
