In eastern Iowa a first class mill cow sold for 15 dollars a head. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Lattig welcomed a baby boy in Lincoln township. J. C. Voorhees added screen doors to his hardware store. J. W. Brickley’s restaurant offered a square meal for a quarter near Stone’s grocery. H. Hazlett leaves Tribune for Traer to start a Democrat newspaper, the Traer News. J. A. Barr, ex-Republican, joins the Tribune edited by Sherman M. Myers.

Baby girl born to Mr and Mrs Don Fish

On July 22 1897 Mr and Mrs Don Fish welcomed a baby girl. Miss Avis Petty attended Atlantic Business College. E A Stone sold queensware glassware woodenware lamps and groceries. The name Globe Democrat was added to the Council Bluffs Globe. Myers and Richardson edited and published the Anita Tribune.

Anita residents report July 25 1907 that Anita defeated Stuart 7 0 in baseball. Sunday livery traffic was strong with rigs from three barns active. Roy Eneix Mrs Roy Eneix Guy Lattig and Miss Mittie Crawford visited Omaha last week. Harry C Faulkner bought the residence on Whites Avenue from Dilt. Sherman F Myers edited the Triline and served as postmaster.
