Funeral services for Nora Belle Irving Coply were held at the Methodist church in Mitchellville Iowa, with interment in Mitchellville cemetery. An Anita resident for many years she was aunt to Mrs Cecil Schott Mrs Herbert Bartley and Mrs Dewey Robinson and well remembered by the Anita community.

Mrs Flora Stone hosted Quilt Club ladies with lunch after a Wednesday gathering. The Gay Grant Gals 4 H Club met at Miss Dorothy McCrory's home on July 24. Roscoll responded to a program on US life, a health talk titled Spell Health with a YOU was given by Carol sen, and a discussion Why Does Courtesy Pay followed. Norma Jean Tund led music. Local 4-H Club Meeting Near Anita Plans Summer Picnic

The Square Deal 4-H Club met at the Kenny Kuehn home near Anita with five visitors. Plans were made for a Sunday picnic at Sunnyside Del Chute attended by members and guests. The Federated Home and Garden Club met at the Church of Christ with 36 members and six guests, eight visitors joined. An interesting program followed by an exchange of named Tris.

Happy Go Lucky Club Elects New Officer At August Meeting

The Happy Go Lucky Club met Tuesday at Mrs Elsiat Akers home with eight members and three visitors. Visitors included Mrs Lincoln Akers Mrs Frank McKubben and Mrs Clyde Heek of Lexington Neb. Mrs Elton Christensen was elected. Contest winner was Mrs Louis Akers. Next meeting set for August at Mrs Louis Akers.
