Oiairdeson born in Ger yin in 1855 died July 1 1912 at Adair. Married Miss Hewinger July 8 1887. Survived by four children two sons, two daughters, and brothers. Lutheran church member since childhood. Funeral services held Tuesday and burial in local cemetery.
The Hardeson family and children express gratitude to neighbors for their kind assistance at the death and burial of their father. They wish everyone safety and extend thanks from Mrs. Cxas Croxton and family.
Jorge Franklin died at his home Thursday evening after several months illness. He farmed near Atlantic for years and was active in baseball with the Grays. A Republican and community worker, he attended Congregational church services and was a cherished Mason member. His remains were laid to rest in Atlantic Cemetery. The notice ends with a local butcher ad from W E Clark offering fresh home killed meat.
The town organizes Sunday evening services on Main Street starting July 14 at 7 40 PM weather permitting. A union choir leads hymns with occasional special music. If weather breaks the services move to four churches on rotation July 14 M E July 21 Christian July 28 Evangelical August 4 Congregational. Donations cover extra costs with surplus shared by the four churches.
Anita outscored Grant 10 to 9 in a nine inning showdown with Anita collectors Cryer Forshay and Bangham driving in runs while Dorsey pitched shutout after giving up a late three run rally. The box score shows Anita finishing with 10 runs on 12 hits and 3 errors while Grant posted 9 runs on 9 hits with 3 errors.
The Trinens urge the Commercial Club to begin planning a city carnival of notable character. A street carnival, properly managed, could boost town spirit and advertise Beatrice area activity. Jono Metheny visited from Marne. Marvel Ry Boyd, son of Mr and Mrs L J Boyd, was injured in Coon Rapids after a firecracker mishap but expected to recover in a few days with luck. The Boyds, from Beatrice, were staying with Mrs Boyd’s parents, C M Blakesley and wife.
