Obituary of Mary Sophia Peterson of Maine Iowa
Mary Sophia Peterson born May 4 1872 in Smelby county Iowa died July 5 1913 aged 4 years 2 months 1 day. She married Wilbur C Wheatley January 15 1896 and they had seven children three boys and four girls with three dying in infancy. Survived by husband seven children her mother in Elkhorn two brothers Peter M and Andrew A and sister Martha E Anderson of Maine. Converted to Seventh Day Adventist before marriage remained faithful attended worship wherever convenient. Taken sick last winter treated at Des Moines Methodist hospital diagnosed creeping paralysis later at Lincoln Nebraska Sanitarium where she died. Funeral at M E Church Maine conducted by Rev H H King. Interment Brighton cemetery.
