Anita remembers 50 years ago in Anita Tribune prose
In July 1904 Dinsmore's Photo Studio advertised photographs that look like you. M. Myers paid $11 000 for an eleven acre fruit farm near Los Angeles to build a mansion. Voorhees sold buggies and Buck's stores. The Rock Island ran three passenger trains each way through Anita. Sherman F. Myers edited the Anita Tribune as the town remembered a golden era from 1885 to 1918 and pondered a coming atomic age.
