Mountain letter from Iowa farmer seeks Tribune subscription

A 1916 Grand River letter from W S Mountain in Anita Iowa reports crops in good condition with corn waist high and alfalfa growing second crop eight inches high. He mentions stock losses but still 180 head, and invites Anita readers to visit. The notice also includes a reminder of forthcoming charges for service wires by Electric Light and Power Co. signed P A Johansen.

Will Kuehn was a Des Moines visit or the last of the week. John Broadfoot and family, who had been visiting relatives in Atlantic, returned to Berea Friday. S. F. Myers went to Council Bluffs Thursday evening to attend the funeral services of his sister, Mrs. Maggie Abbott, held there on Friday.
