Mother of Anita Farmer Dies in Extra Iowa at 92
Lena Delmer Wahlert 92 longtime Audubon county resident died at her Extra Iowa home from old age complications. Born February 26 1842 in Finkofen Germany she came to the United States in 1866. She and Jurgen Wahlert married in 1864 and lived in Moline Illinois before moving to Henry county and then Audubon county in the 1800s. Survived by eight children thirty three grandchildren and forty great grandchildren. one son John died two years ago. Funeral at home officiated by Rev A G Whittier with burial in Extra cemetery.
