VA to pay 5.4 million in Iowa life insurance dividends

The Veterans Administration announced 1977 dividends totaling 5.4 million for Iowa holders of World War I USLI policies. Nationwide, 403.4 million will be paid to veterans with active policies, with specific Iowa amounts: 4.8 million NSLI, 380 thousand USGLI, and 168 thousand to Korean Conflict VSLI veterans. Payments go on policy anniversaries and need not contact VA.
