Town Council Special Session Sets Meeting With Township Trustees
The Town Council of Anita met January 10 1961 in special session with Mayor Symonds and council members present along with Lincoln and Grant township trustees and clerks. They invited farmers and landowners to meet to discuss discussed points. A Fire Committee motion to consult with the Fire Department on truck and equipment needs for Town and Country service passed with five votes. The session adjourned.

Record Number Of 4-H Baby Beeves Enrolled
A grand total of 531 baby beeves were enrolled as 4-H projects for the current club year, according to Maune Peltz of the Cass county extension service. Of this number 50 were tie calves and 81 as junior cattle feeder projects. This compares with 372 tie calves and 97 head of junior feeders enrolled last year. In addition Cass 4-H members have entered about 25 head of beef breeding heifers in the new production.
