Great sacrifice sale advertised on front page
Fifty years ago the Hansen Sage Nieman Co planned a major sacrifice sale at the Regulator with front page coverage in the Tribune. The ad offered two pounds of coffee for 35 cents or 40 and novel oranges 20 cents a dozen. Mrs Della Winder returned from Clarinda after visiting her father. The Tribune printed six sale bill sets. D C Kellogg continued carpet weaving. Bruce and Ziegler lawyers were in the Citizens Bank building. Sherman F Myers was editor and Ed L Richardson managed the paper as Anita was at high tide.
