Atlantic Favored for District Suffrage Headquarters

On January 18 Mrs. C. G. Warner reports Atlantic is likely to be chosen as the district campaign headquarters for the Equal Suffrage association, with Red Oak and Council Bluffs as rivals and Miss Leach of Massachusetts assigned to lead the work. The group seeks an office in Atlantic for the district organizer. Also noted are local civic updates including Dean Roe's visit, Miss Katie Steinmetz’s Atlantic trip, and Cass county taxes and school fund reports.

Ed Bell has sold his dray line to Hayes R Redburn with possession last Thursday morning. Bell was a good drayman and his large list of patrons will be sorry to lose his services.

Reed leaves for Omaha to head Overland territory

Thomas H. Reed departs with his father David Reed and family for Omaha where he will base operations for the next year. He will oversee western Iowa for the Overland company and has built a successful auto business in his hometown, earning praise from old friends.
