Ruth L Brown Publisher Hosts Pinochle Club At Home

Ruth L Brown owner and publisher notes relatives in Des Moines. Avery Stephenson, a farmer southeast of Anita, was badly injured last Wednesday noon while blasting stumps on his farm. He suffered a laceration to an ear and injuries to his hand and shoulder. Mrs Maurice Turner hosted the pinochle club at her home last Thursday evening with Mrs Chas Campbell and Mrs Dick Demnet as guests. High score went to Mrs Albert Karns.
