A public sale of farm stock and implements is announced for January 18 1906 at Brownville Benton Township. Items include horses cattle hogs farm equipment and implements with names and weights noted. Local residents Mr and Mrs L R Bragg Elmer Vincent G R Hust and son Fred among those mentioned.
Fr Conins Colo Dec 30 1905 writes of the Cache La Poudre valley climate three miles from town and a booming Fort Collins. He notes beet yields of fifteen to twenty five tons per acre with factory price at five dollars a ton, laborers at two thousand per acre, and stones hauled daily for building. He describes mountain treks for wood, nearby towns Windsor Greeley Wellington Loveland Cheyenne and a growing city with over eight hundred homes built in 1905. He highlights the Agricultural College, local ranches, and a lake park skating on Christmas Day while mapping district expansion and a ten acre tract selling for sixteen thousand dollars.
W H Howard of Husband Pennsylvania said his mother had suffered rheumatism for many years. At times she could not move and walking was painful. He offered her a balm and noted a wonderful improvement after using Chamberlains Pain Balm.
