Cleveland reports say Cassie J. Chadwick may gain release on bail within days. Four prominent Cleveland men allegedly ready to post $40,000 to secure her freedom. Chadwick, increasingly frail, notes improved security and says she wants to end county custody.
A Denver dispatch reports that Republicans plan to seat State Senators Darell and Millard, giving the party control of the assembly and raising the possibility that Gov. Peabody will be reseated.
