Daniel H. Talbot a Sioux City resident and pioneer farmer, died in a local hospital aged 61. Born near Iowa City, he moved to Sioux City in 1870 and built a 7000 acre breeding farm. He donated his $30,000 library to Iowa State University and was a student of Darwin.
