4-H Boys Attend Annual Convention at Ames
About 20 4-H boys and four Hi club leaders gathered at Ames January 27 and 28 for the annual convention. Leaders and county agents presided, with B Graham of the U S D A Service as guest. Boys won several firsts in Baby Beef and Pig Record Book contests. local bankers helped fund travel for attendees.Cattle Feeders Meeting set for 1:30 pm at the house. Beresford ISU animal science staff will discuss beef cattle outlook and related questions. Claude Van Vinck to discuss rural home hot and cold water installation on January 8 with local meetings planned in township homes.

Cumberland Man Held in Missouri on Theft Charge
Frank McMichael of Cumberland is held in Missouri on a theft charge after officers recovered thirteen turkeys and raided his Cumberland home. Gentry sheriffs and Missouri deputies arrested him at the Bill Crow farm southwest of Cumberland following a daylight breakout attempt.
