Christmas visitors and events in Anita Iowa area
A past Christmas period includes guests Chester and Marie Winder of Des Moines with son Harold visiting relatives in Brooklyn Iowa. H L Bell stayed in Iowa City with D C Bell family. Friends held a pimachle party at Bert Reynolds home. Farm bureau ladies met at Miss Mae Metheney’s with fourteen members and three visitors. Forty one relatives shared Christmas dinner at Almira Richel’s home. John Faulkner and family hosted Joan in Rock Island for Christmas.

The west room of the Masonic Temple, long occupied by a dry goods store, is rented by lodge trustees to Chas. W. Clardy. A new front will replace the two entrance steps. Various local residents and visitors are noted in holiday visits and family gatherings, including Chas. Walker, James Osen, Louise Trumbull, H. R. Alleman, Mrs. Maggie Scholl, and others.

E Z Chapter of P E O held its Christmas party at Mrs F D Weimir with Lauren Beaver and E S Holton hosting. Christmas carols and quotations followed by lunch.

Massena PTA Has Christmas Program and Fundraiser
In Massena No 1 Valley Hi-Lites meetings forty five attendees enjoyed a Christmas program led by Miss Millie Edgar. A large mirror and towel set were won in a ticket sale that netted 7.17 for the school. Mrs Marvin Russell chaired the meeting as refreshments followed. Home rental changes saw Mr and Mrs Gail Harrison taking over Mrs Mable Spiker’s house after Dy Arnett moved away.

Christmas Service At Congregational Church Draws Large Attendance
The early morning Christmas service at the Congregational Church attracted a large crowd and the program was enjoyed by all. Mrs Bell and her young daughter visited relatives in Audubon for Christmas while Mrs Adair spent a few days with friends in Canaha last week. Lester Heckman returned from Ames where he attends college to be at home.

Grant No. 9 P. T. A. Meeting Highlights Student Program
Grant No. 9 P. T. A. held its regular meeting Friday evening with a program by teachers and pupils. The program included plays readings songs and pantomimes. Santa appeared with treats and a gift exchange followed. Lunch committee was Doris Kline Ganelle Richter and Dorothy McCrory.
