Muskrat and mink season ends December 20

The muskrat and mink season closes at midnight December 20 with a ten day hold period for furs. Trappers may obtain permits from the State Conservation Commission to hold legally taken furs longer. Shipped out-of-state furs require a state permit. Long haired furbearing animals stay open until January 10 and furs may be held without a permit until midnight January 20.

Marine Reserve Retirement Bill Described in June Draft

A proposed bill by the President would award retirement after 20 years of federal service and age 60 with monthly pay. Credit toward a year of service requires 60 points yearly through active duty training drills or factory-equivalent service within the Marine Reserve. full reserve duty grants 15-point credit.
