State Agriculture Secretary says Iowa pumps are checked regularly to prevent misrepresentation of gasoline quality and price. Campbell, in town a month, plans to depart for Toledo to winter with his son Glenn H. Campbell and family.
Mrs. Mary Aldag, daughter of pioneer Wilhelmina Bannick, contests her mother’s probate will alleging unsound mind and undue influence by sons Otto and Henry Bannick. H D Hughes of the Iowa State agricultural program notes that to secure higher yields per acre farmers favor larger late maturing corn, but data from 1927 shows high yielding samples were earlier maturing. Frost damage has risen since 1890, prompting a conference at Ames on Oct 30 to address correcting the trend.
