His unit Company C of the 1st Armored Division Medium Tank Battalion will be stationed at Fort Polk after active service ends. A 1983 Anita High School graduate, he previously worked for West Town Telephone Co before enlisting in December 1954.

Mrs Chris Anderson dies after short illness at 65

Funeral services held at Lutheran church Faxira and burial at Exyira Cemetery for Mrs. Chris Anderson 65. Born Audubon county daughter of Peter Lund and the late Mrs. Lund. Married to Chris Anderson 46 years. They farmed near Audubon then northwest of Anita. Survived by husband two daughters Hertha Anderson and Mrs Andrew Jessen, a son Ness, nine grandchildren, one great grandson, a sister and several half siblings. Anita C of C Launches Big Christmas Program

Anita C of C announces a $1000 Christmas program with a $200 jackpot prize and a drawing on December 24 at 3 40. Lincoln 4 1 Wins Tribune Contest

The Anite Tribune New Subscriptions Contest ended Saturday afternoon with Vox Watt Glynn leading, selling seven new subscriptions at seven minutes, to win first prize of $50 for the Tribune office. Grant club earned $25 second prize as several groups vied for lead. Tara Barbara Reed and Chor Reed helped Lincoln Tea candidate secure a late rally, with new subs reported in the afternoon window and at the Tribune office by 5 p.m.

Anita Spartans Home Doubleheader Opens December Ball
