At about 8 o clock Thursday afternoon three masked men rode into Montpelier Idaho and robbed the Bank of Montpelier. They forced six bystanders inside as two covered them with revolvers and a third emptied the till. The robbers escaped on horseback and a posse of thirty pursue them. Authorities withhold the sum stolen though believed near 10 000 dollars.
In a private capacity Sir Matthew White Ridley declined to repeat a statement by the lord chief justice Baron Russell of Killowen in the Florence Maybrick case. Mrs Maybrick was convicted of poisoning her husband and sentenced to life imprisonment.

A 22 year old named Vint Holmes drowned in a pond at Wxita while bathing. Water reached fifteen feet in places and he could not swim. Three younger boys could not assist. He lay in the pond about an hour before help arrived. His parents are grief stricken and he was to be married in a few months.
A 16 year old boy, son of John White, living near Silver Creek northwest of Lansing, was thrown from a horse during a race with a companion. He struck head first, sustaining a skull fracture and died after losing consciousness.
