Anita Remembers Airstrip Opening and Weather
Looking backward in the Tribune files recalls last weekend's event as twelve planes landed at Anita's new air strip then proceeded to the Redwood for a breakfast flight the first such gathering here. Hot humid conditions persisted with highs near 100 and a low 74. Rain was badly needed. Sandra Bissell eight, will perform at the 1984 Iowa State Fair in the Talent Sprout Revue. Holy Cross Lutheran church celebrated its 25th anniversary with services Sunday.

A. A. Miller has purchased the Pearson farm west of Highland and plans to move soon. A severe wind storm with rain and hail damaged crops, wrecking corn in Massena fields and scattering stalks across the area, leaving harvests incomplete for the year.
