A Southeast Iowa driver obsessed with appearing both entering and leaving scenes modifies his car brakes. When applied hard at speed the car veers left and nearly broadside the road. He then stalks and follows another vehicle until a hill or curve forces separation.
County boosters welcome Iowa Highway Commission forecast of 18500000 in farm to market contracts statewide for 1950 51. Chief Engineer Fred R White told Governor Beardsley the state could average 200000 per county for July 1950 to June 1951, as counties benefit from state and federal funds.
